St. Mike's is blessed to have several lovely Zebra finches (Taeniopygia guttata) and we would be delighted for you to meet them! They love to fly through their many bird houses, play with one another, and sing their songs.
Zebra finches are indigenous to Australia. The white and light grey birds are the females. The darker grey and striped birds are the males. Adult males also have orange patches on their cheeks. Juvenile Zebra finches have more simple coloring. For example, the white birds are juvenile females. Zebra finches live in flocks and love larger spaces like this enclosure. Please do not stick anything in the enclosure or tap the sides.
We love our Zebra finches, and we are happy that you can enjoy them, too!
